Halloween is coming up, and people are starting to prepare by watching horror movies and thrillers. If you plan on doing the same, here are some tips to help you survive watching scary movies.

  • Never watch them alone.
  • Try not to watch them in a dark, big room.
  • Eat food. It calms you down and reduces the severeness of jump-scares.
  • Bring a blanket.
  • Turn lights on.
  • Don’t use surround sound. (It makes the movie feel real)
  • Read about the movie before you watch it.
  • Use the restroom before you watch it.
  • Be ready for anything.
  • When you are done, watch the behind the scenes of the movie to see how it was made. This helps prevent nightmares.

Hopefully this helped. Good luck with Halloween! (Read the story on Stranger Things Season 2!)
