A few 8th graders at Willowcreek are creating the ultimate guide to Halloween. It will be 5  parts long. Here is the first one: A guide to trick or treating. Most people stop trick or treating when they become a teen, but this will help with multiple things on that if you are forced to by your parents. This guide also includes tips on handing out candy if you have to do that too.

Trick or treating for real:

If you are forced to go trick or treating, it’s ultimate irritation. The two most common reasons are: A. You have a younger sibling who needs to be watched over. B. You need to get out of the house for once. If you are going with a sibling, I suggest not taking candy, and staying back to save yourself embarrassment. If you just need to go outside, get with some friends to make you blend in.

  1. If you are just trick or treating for fun without having to go, do the same thing in the last tip. Bring a lot of friends, and make sure your costume has a mask. Go with friends as well.
  2. Only go to the houses you know are good. For example, the haunted houses in your neighborhood or the houses that give out the craziest stuff.

Giving out candy:

  1. Don’t wear a costume while handing out candy, it makes you seem scary.
  2. Have an entertainment device nearby, you don’t want to be bored to death.
  3. Be nice to all the kids that come to your door.
  4.  Don’t eat all the candy (Your parents are watching)
  5. When you are finished, try going around your neighborhood for some extra “cash” *wink wink*
  6. Watch the second season of Stranger Things

Hopefully this helped. Look out for part 2!Image result for big kids trick or treating comic
